In case of contact pressure between: the diaphragm or retaining walls, and soil; earth filled dams and embankments; pressures under foundations; OTR suggests total pressure cell OG120.

TPC are made up by a couple of stainless steel membranes shaped and welded, connected to a pressure trasducer by a steel tube. The cell is extremly sturdy and presents a support surface of 314cm² for every side. The instrument is completly made by stainless steel IP68, saturate with deareated oil to have nice termal performances and sensivity to low pressures. Cell and connection tube are saturated too with deareated oil. Trasductor has a thick external protection and it’s linked  directly to the total pressure cell.

How to instal?

To instal the cell is suggested to compact the soil where the instrument is placed and cover with 50-100mm of sand uniform and compacted.

Smooth the roughness of the support surface and create a smooth surface using mortar. Lay down the unsensitive side of the cell and use the 4 lateral holed supports to fix it. End the process covering by the worksite needs.
